Hi I’m Exactly what you’ve been looking for and didn’t know existed.

My name is erica curcio and I help reconnect people with dementia to their families, friends and caregivers through Companion Art Therapy.

You weren’t born with dementia caregiving skills, and neither was I!

I want to teach you what I’ve learned working with hundreds of people experiencing dementia and their families over the past 10+ years.

You deserve connection, joy and creative stimulation and over the artmaking table, you’re going to see it and receive it. All you have to do is take the leap of faith and seize this opportunity.

 What is Companion Art Therapy?

“Transformative, eye-opening and enhanced my relationship with my father” is how one family member described their experience

You will walk away calm, content and full of joy with a view that your person is still capable of doing great things.

You’ll also see that you are still capable and worthy of great things.

Together we will make positive changes for you and your person.

How does it work?

Companion Art Therapy is meant to be short-term.

It starts with a phone intake with the caregiver, followed by five in person art therapy sessions at our Arlington, MA office. In these sessions You, Your person with dementia and I will work on art together.

You’ll have the opportunity to learn from a Dementia Art Therapist by observing me creatively connect with your person. After each session we will have a private 15 minute phone check in, where you can ask questions and/or receive feedback about the session.
